NBA League Pass costs $16.99 a month or $109.99 a season in the US, Premium $24.99 or $159.99. Blackouts, monthly vs season maths and who should skip it.

NBA League Pass costs $16.99 a month or $109.99 for the season in the US for 2026-27, and League Pass Premium costs $24.99 a month or $159.99 for the season. A single-team Team Pass is reported at $13.99 a month. These are the same prices as last season.

NBA.com shows prices for the country you are in, and we checked from outside the US on 24 October 2026, so the US figures above come from October 2026 reports and match NBA.com's 2025-26 prices. Confirm the price at checkout before you pay. The bigger catch is that, in the US, League Pass does not show local or national TV games live. That decides whether it is worth buying at all.

League Pass Premium$24.99$159.99As League Pass, plus no commercials, offline downloads and up to three devices at once

Prices are before tax. The NBA says you can buy League Pass monthly, for the season on NBA.com, or as an annual plan in the NBA app. Students in eligible countries can get 40% off, according to NBA.com's student offer.

League Pass vs Premium: is the extra $8 worth it?

Premium makes sense mainly if more than one person in your home watches at the same time, or if you watch on flights and commutes. If you watch alone on one screen, standard League Pass plus multiview covers most of what fans want, and the season costs $50 less.

In the US, local and national games are blacked out live on League Pass and arrive on demand after they end.

The blackout catch: what League Pass does not show

The NBA says blackouts exist in the US and Canada because local and national broadcasters have exclusive rights. In practice that means:

  • Your local team is blacked out live. Games shown by the regional broadcaster in your area are not available live on League Pass. League Pass is built for fans who follow teams from another market.
  • National TV games are blacked out live. For 2026-27, national games are split between ESPN and ABC, NBC and Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video. You need those services to watch those games live.
  • The playoffs are mostly national. Because playoff games air on national TV, a US League Pass is mainly a regular-season product.

Blacked-out games usually become available on demand after they finish. If you are a fan of your local team, League Pass alone will not cover you. Check how your team's local games are broadcast before buying.

Monthly or season pass? A worked example

The regular season runs from late October to mid-April, about six months. If you subscribe on 22 October and pay monthly, six payments take you to 21 April:

  • League Pass: 6 × $16.99 = $101.94, against $109.99 for the season. Monthly is about $8 cheaper.
  • Premium: 6 × $24.99 = $149.94, against $159.99 for the season. Monthly is about $10 cheaper.

The season pass only wins if you would otherwise forget to cancel, or want access beyond the regular season. If you join later, for example in January, monthly is clearly cheaper: four months of League Pass is $67.96. The NBA says you can cancel any time before your next billing date, so set a reminder for early April. Our guide to monthly vs yearly subscriptions explains how to make this kind of comparison for any service.

One-team fans: if you only follow one out-of-market team, Team Pass at $13.99 a month costs 6 × $13.99 = $83.94 for the regular season, about $18 less than six months of League Pass.

Prices outside the US

League Pass is priced by country. When we opened NBA.com from Denmark on 24 October 2026, the season price was kr 899.99 for League Pass and kr 1,299.99 for Premium. The blackout rules the NBA describes apply to the US and Canada, and the NBA lists separate League Pass partners for some other countries. Always check the price NBA.com shows for where you live.

Who should buy NBA League Pass, and who should skip it

Buy it if you follow a team from another city, like watching several games a night, or want condensed replays and archives.

Skip it if you mainly watch your local team or the big national games. You will get more from the national broadcasters, and our streaming bundles guide shows how to combine services without paying twice. If you follow other sports too, see how we compare F1 TV Pro prices and the wider streaming deals.

Students should check the 40% student offer before paying full price, and our student discount guide lists other services with student pricing.
